About the role Blablacar is seeking an experienced SEO Lead to spearhead our organic growth initiatives across 21 countries, focusing on our diverse offerings in carpooling, bus, train, and accommodation services. In this role, you will lead a team of two SEO specialists and work closely with a dedicated engineering team to enhance our conversion rates and boost our search visibility.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO, GEO, and SMO strategy that aligns with our overarching business objectives.
• Supervise a team of two SEO professionals while managing a backlog that includes five engineers and one engineering manager.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving conversion rates, focusing on SEO, GEO, and user experience (UX), including the integration of external large language models (LLMs) and multi-channel platforms (MCPs).
• Perform thorough technical audits and analyze performance metrics across our six primary websites to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement an A/B testing framework to refine landing pages and enhance conversion rates effectively.
• Collaborate with teams in Search Engine Advertising (SEA), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Paid Media, Product Development, and Technology to ensure cohesive execution of the website strategy.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators across our six main markets, providing insights for strategic adjustments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to ensure our strategies remain effective and competitive.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing SEO campaigns with a track record of achieving measurable outcomes.
• In‑depth knowledge of Google algorithms, SEO best practices, and the latest trends in the field.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and their application in enhancing website visibility and facilitating agentic conversion.
• Understanding of web conversion rate optimization (CRO) with the capability to introduce innovative techniques.
• Proven experience in team management and fostering cross‑functional collaborations.
• Fluency in both English and French is essential for effective communication.
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the Paris office two days a week.
