Location: Brières-les-Scellés (91). Within the innovation team focused on automotive seat systems, you will contribute to the development and optimization of sensor systems integrated into automotive seats. Your main mission is to specify, design, validate, and integrate high-performance and robust sensor solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define system-level requirements for sensor subsystems (selection, architecture, performance evaluation).
- Master capacitive sensor technology, characterize and simulate capacitive sensor at the sensor system level.
- Design, prototype, and evaluate sensor systems, including electronics, mechanics, signal conditioning, and calibration.
- Perform testing, characterization, and validation (environmental, stress, and reliability testing).
- Interface with sensor suppliers to evaluate components, monitor roadmaps, and ensure system integration.
- Collaborate with software, signal processing, and embedded systems teams for data integration and sensor fusion.
- Conduct technology scouting and maintain awareness of emerging sensor technologies (optical, MEMS, radar, capacitive, resistive, etc.).
- Write technical documentation: specifications, test reports, and integration guidelines.
- Support industrialization or transfer-to-manufacturing phases for integrated sensor solutions.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of sensor system.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Engineering degree in electronics, physics, instrumentation, microelectronics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sensor design or system integration.
- Ideally hands‑on experience with sensor characterization, qualification, and validation.
- Familiarity with supplier interaction and cross‑functional system development.
- Solid understanding of analog/mixed‑signal electronics (low signal, conditioning, amplifiers, filters).
- Knowledge of sensor technologies such as resistive (FSR) and resistive (Piezzo).
- Proficiency in lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, analyzers, test benches).
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or embedded systems programming.
- Experience in developing and implementing algorithms for signal processing, calibration, sensor fusion, and data filtering.
- Awareness of system constraints (power, noise, thermal, mechanical integration).
- Team leader spirit, able to network.
- International mindset.
- Capacity to work in a matrix organization.
- Fluent English, minimum B2, ideally C1.
Benefits
- Engaging and dynamic environment focused on sustainable mobility technologies.
- Access to extensive learning resources: more than 22 hours of online and in‑person training through FORVIA University.
- Multicultural workplace with emphasis on diversity and international collaboration.
- Commitment to achieving CO2 Net Zero, with initiatives focused on sustainability, recyclability, and circular economy.
