Security Solution Administrator – DevSecOps

We are seeking an experienced Security Solution Administrator (DevSecOps) to manage and secure our IT infrastructure. Your role will involve ensuring resilience, scalability, and high availability while protecting against cyber threats.

Role Summary

As a Security Solution Administrator you will manage firewalls, network devices, VMware security, vulnerability management, monitoring, IAM/PAM, and automate security processes using scripting. You will work closely with IT Security and infrastructure teams to implement security controls that meet group policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Ensure optimal functioning of the security capabilities of the Infrastructure platform.
• Implement, tune, and administer security tooling, proposing system changes, best‑practice improvements.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Continuously monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Oversee the implementation and management of access controls to ensure only authorised personnel have access to sensitive information.
• Contribute to incident response and recovery efforts.
• Collaborate with the IT Security (SecOps) team to align security measures with group policies, library controls, and industry regulations.
• Work with infrastructure teams to estimate resource requirements and plan for future growth, ensuring scalability.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and configure security systems such as firewalls, switches, and other network security devices.
• Ensure VMware cloud security, implementing and maintaining security measures for vCenter, NSX, and NKP.
• Configure and manage vulnerability management tools, conduct follow‑up and remediation of identified issues.
• Set up monitoring and security logging, creating alerts in an incident detection service.
• Oversee identity and access management, including privileged access management.
• Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline security processes.

You’ll Bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Security Engineer or similar role in a regulated or highly available environment, with at least 3 years of scripting and configuration automation experience.

• Network Security: Fortigate, Stormshield
• VMware Cloud Security: vCenter, NKP, NSX
• Vulnerability Management: Qualys, Contrast
• EDR/VPN: HarfangLab
• IAM/PAM: Active Directory, WALLIX
• Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell

Technology Expertise (Advantageous / Nice to Have)

• CI/CD Environments: GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)
• Public Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
