Security Project Manager
A leading global insurance and financial services organisation has launched a global Cyber Defense Programme – a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Transformation initiative – aimed at enhancing the organisation's ability to anticipate, detect, and respond to cyber threats. The programme is sponsored directly by senior executive leadership and spans operations across 50+ countries worldwide .
The SOC Transformation Programme Management team is seeking a Senior Project Management Consultant to lead the delivery of multiple projects focused on improving security detection and response capabilities. This includes driving increased automation across security operations and expanding SOC coverage to additional business entities, platforms, and assets within the global organisation.
Responsibilities
The Senior Project Management Consultant will be responsible for defining, organising, and closely managing activities and deliverables to ensure successful achievement of workstream objectives, working closely with the Programme Manager and key stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of multiple cybersecurity and SOC transformation projects.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders across a global environment.
- Driving initiatives that enhance security monitoring, detection, response, and automation capabilities.
- Managing project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance requirements.
- Ensuring alignment between business objectives, cybersecurity strategy, and technical delivery teams.
- Supporting the onboarding and integration of new business entities, platforms, and assets into the SOC operating model.
- Providing regular progress updates and reporting to senior leadership and programme stakeholders.
- Facilitating decision-making, issue resolution, and delivery execution across project workstreams.
