Section Engineer Asphalt/Road - Civil Engineering - Perm Contract F/M

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervising on-site asphalt activities and subcontractors (quality, schedule, cost)
  • Liaising with the design office and internal teams
  • Preparing tender documents and participating in contract negotiations
  • Developing execution plans, KPIs and monitoring tools
  • Reviewing asphalt mix designs and lab results
  • Preparing 3‑week lookaheads and general works programme
  • Drafting and implementing ITPs and Control Plans
  • Organising and leading weekly meetings (writing MoMs)
  • Coordinating with QSE teams for inspections and compliance
  • Reporting progress, quality, safety and environmental indicators

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on road construction projects, ideally with asphalt focus
  • Strong understanding of asphalt production, laying techniques and Norwegian standards
  • Data‑oriented mindset, familiarity with reporting and planning tools
  • Fluent in English; Norwegian strongly preferred
  • Autonomous, quick to adapt, and eager to grow – you will be the only asphalt referent in the team
