SDO Engineer (Safety, Diagnosability & OBD)
- Develop and implement diagnostic requirements for Powertrain components (Engine, Transmission, Hybrid/Electrified systems) ensuring CARB compliance.
- Define and implement Functional and Technical Safety concepts in line with ISO 26262.
- Review supplier diagnostics, ensure adherence to OBD standards, and support certification and regulatory approvals.
- Collaborate with AfterSales for DST/TSD creation and maintain traceability of diagnostics to source requirements.
- Support safety assessments, diagnostic strategy development for ASIL compliance, and participate in verification reviews.

Profil
Desired profile : engineer with initial professional experience in the relevant field :or recent graduate (if education and trainings are significant)
Position Requirements
Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field).
Experience in Powertrain or component development with domain knowledge in conventional or electrified powertrains.
Diagnostics & OBD: Experience in developing diagnostic requirements and implementing software in compliance with OBD II regulations. Strong understanding of DTC proposal requirements, MIL and other warning lamp requirements, and AECD requirements.
Functional Safety: Experience in Functional Safety development and ISO 26262 compliance.
Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with SAE standards such as SAE J1979, SAE J2012, and SAE J1968.
Communication Protocols: Experience with CAN communication.

- Clarity of expression and ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively across networks and cross-functional teams.
