Job Summary

You are an analytics specialist who integrates clinical science with modern data methods to design, build, and validate end‑to‑end, traceable evidence pipelines within and across trials, partnering with biostatisticians and other scientists to deliver insights for decisions and submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical trial data analyses – conduct exploratory and confirmatory analyses on clinical trial datasets (SDTM, ADaM) working in close collaboration with biostatisticians to deliver high‑quality, reproducible, submission‑ready outputs (tables, listings, figures).
  • Champion modern programming practices – drive the transition from traditional SAS‑based workflows to modern open‑source languages (R, Python) and promote best coding practices such as version control (Git), code review, modular programming, and reproducible research frameworks.
  • Leverage AI & Machine Learning to augment statistical programming – explore and implement AI‑powered tools (e.g., LLMs, code generation, automated QC) to accelerate and enhance programming workflows, from data wrangling to output generation and validation.
  • Develop & maintain innovative analytical tools – build reusable packages, pipelines, and automation frameworks that improve efficiency, standardisation, and scalability of clinical data analyses across studies and programmes.
  • Collaborate closely with biostatisticians – translate complex statistical analysis plans (SAPs) into robust, well‑documented code; actively contribute to the design of analytical approaches and provide programming expertise in cross‑functional study teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the statistical programming practice – actively participate in defining new standards, tools, and methodologies; act as an internal advocate and reference for innovation in data science applied to clinical development.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies – continuously monitor and evaluate new AI/ML tools, open‑source developments, and industry trends (e.g., Pharmaverse, Posit/RStudio ecosystem) to bring forward‑thinking solutions into the organisation.
