School Psychologist
Job Overview

District 161 is seeking a positive, energetic individual to join our Special Education team as a School Psychologist. In this position you will provide consultation, screening, diagnostic, and related follow-up services for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade within the District.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate on the general education intervention teams.
- Consult with various individuals about the behavioral and instructional management of students with learning and social behavior difficulties.
- Provide timely written reports and explain or interpret findings.
- Work on a team to collectively make the best decisions for student success.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in school psychology or equivalent.
- Completed 45 graduate hours in school psychology or related area and an internship.
- Completed no less than 500 supervised hours with school age persons during internship.
- Meet competency requirements as set forth in R of Special Education Rules.
- Illinois Professional Educators License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
Salary and Benefits
Salary – Starting at $70,000 and up based on experience and education. FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt. Salary is determined per individual contract but will not be less than $55,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and Board paid employee portion to the Illinois Teachers Retirement System (TRS), which results in an approximately an additional 9% of compensation.
