SCCM Engineer

• Design and Maintain Deployment Task Sequences
  • Develop and maintain SCCM task sequences for Windows 10/11 deployments, customized for different hardware models, departments, and user profiles.
• Manage Windows Image Lifecycle
  • Create, maintain, and update standard Windows WIM images, including OS patches, application versions, and configuration changes.
• Validate Deployment Images
  • Test new images to ensure compatibility, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Develop Automation and Scripts
  • Create PowerShell scripts and automation tools to streamline imaging, driver management, BIOS/UEFI settings, and hardware-specific configurations.
• Troubleshoot Deployment Issues
  • Investigate and resolve OS deployment failures, task sequence errors, and imaging inconsistencies, providing Tier 3 support in collaboration with Service Desk and field support teams.
• Maintain Documentation and Compliance
  • Document task sequences, imaging processes, and deployment standards, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
• Coordinate Integrations and Migrations
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application packaging teams to align imaging strategies, support OS migrations, and manage hardware and software lifecycles.

Requirements

• SCCM/MECM and OS Deployment Experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM, particularly in designing, configuring, and maintaining Windows operating system deployment (OSD) solutions.
• PowerShell and Task Sequence Troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, including developing automation scripts and troubleshooting complex SCCM task sequence failures.
• Windows Image Management
  • Experience creating, managing, and customizing WIM images, including preparing Windows images for different hardware configurations and deployment requirements.
• BIOS/UEFI and Driver Management
  • Knowledge of BIOS/UEFI configuration, driver injection, and resolving hardware compatibility issues during Windows operating system deployments.
• Windows Deployment Technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows ADK, WinPE, and MDT, including their application in building, customizing, and maintaining deployment environments.
• Analytical and Documentation Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate deployment issues and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Windows Deployment Lifecycle Management
  • Experience supporting Windows OS migrations, maintaining deployment standards, and managing hardware and software lifecycles across enterprise environments.
