SAP SD-GTS Principal Consultant - [H/F/D] - Lyon

Role Overview

SAP SD‑GTS Principal Consultant, Location – Lyon.

Support and lead SAP S/4HANA SD (Order‑to‑Cash) & GTS implementation, AMS support and enhancements for pharmaceutical clients. Responsibilities include handling regulated pharma processes such as batch‑controlled sales, expiry‑based delivery, pricing compliance, and integration with logistics and finance. Requires strong SAP SD expertise, pharmaceutical domain knowledge, and communication skills to work with business stakeholders and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements from business users.
• Configure SD processes, including:
  • Sales order processing for regulated pharma products.
  • Pricing procedures aligned with compliance requirements.
  • Delivery and shipment based on batch and expiry constraints.
  • Billing with audit‑compliant documentation.
  • Credit blocks, delivery blocks, billing discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot issues related to:
  • Customer master data.
  • Billing and revenue posting errors.
• Ensure integration with MM and WM/EWM for:
  • Batch determination and inventory tracking.
  • Expiry and shelf‑life management.
• Support ATP (Available‑to‑Promise) considering batch validity and compliance rules.
• Manage returns and product recall processes for expired/defective goods.
• Handle EDI/IDOC interfaces with wholesalers, distributors, and hospitals.
• Conduct workshops, UAT, and training sessions.
• Support go‑live, hyper‑care, and continuous improvements.
• Ensure adherence to GxP compliance and audit requirements.

AMS Support (L1.5/L2 Operations)

• Provide day‑to‑day support for SAP SD and SAP GTS modules in production.
• Resolve incidents, service requests, and defects within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor interfaces and batch jobs related to SD and GTS processes.
• Handle priority tickets (P1/P2) and provide timely business updates.

GTS Trade Compliance Support

• Support core GTS processes:
  • Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening.
  • Embargo checks.
  • Export/Import legal control.
  • Product classification (HS codes).
  • Customs documentation.
• Analyze and resolve:
  • Blocked sales/delivery documents due to compliance failures.
  • License determination issues.
  • Missing/incorrect product classifications.
• Ensure compliance‑related master data accuracy and updates.

Core Specialties

• 12+ years of experience with a mix of support and implementation, including at least 4‑5 years on s/4 HANA.
• End‑to‑end SAP SD (Order‑to‑Cash) & GTS process.
• Sales Order, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, Returns Management.
• Batch Management & Expiry Handling (Pharma Products).
• Government‑regulated Pricing & Contract Management.
• Integration with MM, FI, WM/EWM, QM.
• Interface management (IDOC, EDI) with distributors and pharmacies.
• Documentation (Functional Specs, Process Flows, Test Scripts).

Prerequisites

• Strong SAP SD‑GTS functional expertise with 12+ years’ experience.
• Hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical business processes.
• Knowledge of batch management, expiry handling, and traceability.
• Experience working with clients/business culture.
• Ability to handle end‑to‑end implementations and support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• SAP SD certification.
• Exposure/experience in GTS is appreciated.

Good‑to‑Have

• SAP S/4HANA experience (O2C simplifications, Output Management).
• Experience with SAP TM/EWM, CPI/PO, EDI, customs broker integrations.
• Exposure to SAP GTS edition (e.g., GTS 11.0 / S/4HANA for International Trade).
• Industry experience: Pharma/Life Sciences or Global Trade heavy sectors.
