SAP MMPP Analyst
Job Summary
The MM/PP Analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and other associated business applications. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost‑effective, offer enhanced business performance, and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit and integration testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Design, configuration, and functional experience in the MM/PP modules is essential, and understanding of other SAP modules would be of great benefit to the role. Strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in the MM/PP module and the ability to configure the module at a project level. Knowledge in ECM, QM, and PM modules is also desired. Translate user requests into application system solutions, analyze system user requirements to define, design, and implement system configuration, enhancements, and modifications. Resolve business issues by working with various groups within and outside the company (system users, management, consultants, software support staff). Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems. Define requirements for specific forms and reports. Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results in conjunction with business functional leads. Coordinate end‑user training documentation and train end users as required. Perform detailed analysis of business practices, processes, and scenarios. Redesign procedures to suggest best business practices in concert with SAP functionality. Utilize query and reporting tools to provide flexible and timely information to system users. Determine appropriate programming tools to supply information to system users. Coordinate the majority of the project management functions of the user groups, including coordinating, organizing, planning and scheduling, communicating, tracking accountability, ensuring documentation, monitoring and evaluating, problem solving, and technical assistance. May work on support and maintenance of non‑SAP applications or systems. Participate in the creation and enforcement of IT software standards and procedures. Maintain accuracy of helpdesk database and the knowledgebase of corrective actions that have resolved issues. Some travel required.
Responsibilities

- Define requirements for reports and forms.
- Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate data, and document results with functional leads.
- Coordinate end‑user training documentation and train users.
- Analyze business practices, processes, and scenarios; redesign procedures to align with best business practices and SAP functionality.
- Utilize query and reporting tools to provide timely information to users.
- Determine appropriate programming tools for data delivery.
- Manage project management functions, including scheduling, communication, documentation, monitoring, and problem solving.
- Support and maintain non‑SAP applications or systems when required.
- Enforce IT software standards and procedures.
- Maintain helpdesk database accuracy and knowledgebase of solved issues.
- Travel as needed.
Requirements
- Education: BA/BS Degree required.
- Experience: 10+ years of MM/PP SAP experience, both S/4HANA and ECC.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required.
- Experience working with multinational companies across Europe, North America, and APAC.
- Proven software systems experience.
- Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.
- Production support and project experience.
- Strong user experience and project experience in SAP with detailed technical configuration knowledge and business process knowledge of MM/PP modules.
- Solid project management experience, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of SAP best practices.
- Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Ability to interact with all levels and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ECM, QM, and PM SAP modules.
