Our manufacturing end client in the 8th Arrondissement of Paris, France, is in the process of a global transition to SAP S/4HANA. They are looking to hire an experienced organisational Project Manager / PMO with experience of SAP S/4HANA, to take a lead role in ensuring successful adoption and continuous improvement across the ERP landscape.

Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Senior SAP S/4HANA Project Manager/PMO will be the IT person responsible for preparing (from initial business case) and delivering assigned projects defined in the project roadmap.
This function will liaise closely with:
- The Corporate Project and Portfolio Management team
- Other Corporate & Site IT teams (Applications, Infrastructure, Security, etc.)
- Corporate & Site Business teams (functional area owners, SMEs, Finance, etc.)
- Third-party contractors
- Key stakeholders – internal & external
Successfully delivering assigned projects – on scope, on time and within budget while managing quality, resources and risks – is a key success criterion for the role.
Experience Needed:
- Demonstrated Project Management skills in an international IT environment
- 10 years of delivering numerous end-to-end large and complex projects with significant budgets
- Experience in the deployment of SAP S/4HANA programmes
- Experience with Project Management Officer / Coordinateur de projets / Chargé de projets PMO activities
- Solid understanding of financial processes, preferably with experience implementing finance projects in similar environments
- Ability to work effectively with all organisational levels and different stakeholders (business, IT, vendors, etc.) up to plant and senior management level
- Credibility to discuss with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deal with demand management
- Interest in a broad range of IT topics
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in vendor relationship management
- Willingness to develop Project Management practices
Nice to Have Experience (Not Mandatory):
- Agile project management experience and certifications are a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage major projects from initiation through planning, execution and closure
- Responsible for the delivery of projects within planned time, scope and budget (including project financial management)
- Manage stakeholders' expectations
- Manage risk and issue processes, reporting to agreed project governance (e.g. Steering Committee, IT Site Manager)
- Set up the project team with the right resources and skills from both technical/IT and business perspectives
- Ensure the production of relevant functional and technical requirements by the business and technical analysts
- Own the day-to-day interaction, communication and management of any vendor supplying services to the project
- Manage the quality of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
- Own communication and training requirements relevant to all stakeholders
- Work with the Release Manager to manage any IT changes into production
- Work with the Business Project Manager to plan communication and necessary change management/training for the changes delivered by the project
- Manage User Acceptance Testing for changes implemented by projects
- Be responsible for handover to the Service Operations team and/or Site IT teams
- Provide guidance and oversight on small projects without dedicated Project Managers
- Embrace the role of mentor and subject matter expert for project management and delivery
- Manage project coordination between Central (Corporate) and site initiatives
- Be an active contributor to developing project management practices
- Contribute to the development of Project and Portfolio Management
- Mentor junior Project Managers
- Coordinate with Central teams and European & North American sites in the project management area
Additional Information:
- The role is based in Paris, France, but allows 2-3 days/week remote working from home. Occasional travel within Europe and to the USA may be required.
- You must have a professional level of English and French.
