SAP Functional Consultant (HCM/FI/CO/PS/FM/GM/VIM)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise across multiple SAP modules including Human Capital Management, Financial Accounting, Controlling, Project Systems, Funds Management, Grants Management, and Vendor Invoice Management to support our enterprise ERP implementations and optimizations.
Key ResponsibilitiesModule Configuration & Implementation
Configure and customize SAP modules (HCM, FI, CO, PS, FM, GM, VIM) based on business requirementsDesign business processes, workflows, and integration points between modulesPerform system configuration, master data setup, and organizational structure designConduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing coordinationSupport go-live activities, cutover planning, and post-implementation stabilizationBusiness Process Analysis
Analyze current business processes and identify optimization opportunitiesGather and document functional requirements from business stakeholdersDesign future state processes and create detailed functional specificationsConduct gap analysis between standard SAP functionality and business needsRecommend best practices and process improvements across functional areasSystem Integration & Support
Configure cross-module integrations and ensure data consistency across applicationsTroubleshoot functional issues and provide resolution recommendationsSupport month-end, year-end, and periodic closing activitiesManage change requests and system enhancements following ITIL processesProvide production support and resolve business-critical incidentsTraining & Documentation
Develop training materials, user guides, and process documentation
Conduct end-user training sessions and knowledge transfer activities
Create and maintain functional design documents and configuration guides
Support change management initiatives and user adoption strategies
Mentor junior consultants and share functional expertise
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills
6+ years SAP functional consulting experience with at least 3 full lifecycle implementationsExpert knowledge in 3+ modules: HCM (Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Management), FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable), CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders)Strong experience with PS (Project Planning, Budgeting, Settlement), FM (Budget Management, Funds Control), GM (Grant Administration, Compliance), VIM (Invoice Processing, Workflow)Proficiency in SAP configuration, customization, and integration techniques
Knowledge of SAP reporting tools (ALV, Query, Crystal Reports) and data analysisBusiness Skills
Deep understanding of finance, accounting, and human resources business processesExperience with public sector or grant-funded organizations (preferred for FM/GM modules)Strong analytical skills for process optimization and requirements gatheringKnowledge of regulatory compliance and audit requirementsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related fieldSAP certification in relevant functional modulesExperience with S/4HANA migration and transformation projectsKnowledge of SAP Fiori, Workday, or other complementary enterprise applicationsProject management experience and agile methodology knowledge
