Position Overview

Reporting to the Sales Director for France, we are seeking a Sales Manager (M/F) to join a dynamic, internationally-oriented team, with the mission of developing, retaining, and optimizing a portfolio of key accounts and international clients.

Business Development

  • Manage and develop an existing customer portfolio (contractors, distributors, mechanical subcontractors) by offering all of our products (bars, profiles, copper components, etc.)
  • Explore new markets and identify opportunities for international growth
  • Conduct high-level commercial negotiations to increase profitability and customer satisfaction

Project Management and Customer Support

  • Analyze customer needs, write technical and commercial offers, follow up orders until payment is collected
  • Propose suitable "product" solutions, in collaboration with internal teams (sales, Supply Chain, technical, quality)
  • Ensure the handling and resolution of disputes, if necessary

Steering and Reporting

  • Use CRM tools to ensure regular reporting (turnover, margins, volume, prospecting monitoring)
  • Monitor performance indicators (volume, added value) and be a driving force for improving results
  • Conduct customer field visits and participate in trade shows

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Detect new needs, propose innovative products or services related to copper and its applications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (R&D, purchasing) to improve the offering and optimize customer satisfaction
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, responsiveness and rigor within the sales team

Travel within Europe or internationally is expected (approximately 25% of the time).

Qualifications

  • BAC +3 minimum (Commerce, Technical or equivalent)
  • Languages: English is required; proficiency in a second language is a plus
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in a BtoB industrial environment, ideally in the copper or metallurgy sector, ideally internationally
  • Proficiency in negotiation and sale of technical products
  • Excellent knowledge of the sales cycle, from prospecting to customer follow-up
  • Proficiency in using computer software Responsiveness, curiosity, independence, humility, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Strong customer focus and results-oriented, able to adapt to an international environment
