Within G+D France , and for another business unit — Currency Technology — Giesecke+Devrient delivers end‑to‑end solutions for secure public currencies. This activity covers the entire cash lifecycle, from banknote design, substrate and production, to intelligent currency management systems and banknote processing technologies, as well as the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) . The division supports central banks and public institutions by ensuring secure, efficient, and resilient currency ecosystems across both physical and digital environments.

As part of our continued growth, and within a highly technological ecosystem, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Sales Manager to take full responsibility for a defined territory. This role combines the management of existing accounts with a strong emphasis on business development. Operating within a technologically advanced company at the forefront of several industry segments, this position suits a seasoned sales professional who is comfortable navigating complex solutions and establishing market positioning with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue growth, opportunity pipeline, and market positioning within the defined region.
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy to strengthen and expand G+D’s presence.
  • Explore new business fields and emerging market segments.
  • Lead the full sales cycle—from identification to closing—to successfully secure new opportunities.
  • Analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Work closely with product management, service operations, and marketing functions.
  • Ensure full organizational alignment to support strategic and commercial objectives.

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive Sales & Business Development Expertise A strong background in senior sales, key account management, or business development roles.
  • Demonstrated Growth Track Record Proven ability to develop markets, structure deals, and drive sustainable growth within a defined territory.
  • Experience with Complex Sales Cycles Ability to navigate sophisticated sales processes and build trusted, senior‑level customer relationships.
  • Autonomy, Ownership & Accountability A self‑starter with high independence, strong ownership, and a results‑driven mindset.
  • Mobility & Flexibility Willingness to travel across the assigned territory when required to achieve objectives.
  • Bilingual French–English in an International Environment Full professional proficiency in French and English, enabling seamless communication with customers, partners, and internal teams in a multicultural and global context.
