Sales Manager - France
Role Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing Autel's Smart Energy business in France by identifying opportunities, acquiring strategic customers, and growing long‑term partnerships.
The role combines business development, key account management, commercial negotiation, and market strategy. The Sales Manager acts as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the complete sales cycle while coordinating internal resources to ensure successful project execution.
This position requires a commercially driven professional with strong business acumen, experience in infrastructure‑related industries, and the ability to operate independently in the French market within a fast‑growing international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across France
- Build and execute a structured French market development strategy
- Develop relationships with French CPOs, utilities, energy companies, fleet operators, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, and strategic infrastructure investors
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with France growth targets
Key Account Management
- Build long‑term relationships with strategic customers and decision makers
- Understand customer business models, investment strategies, and operational requirements
- Lead commercial negotiations from opportunity identification through contract signature
- Ensure high customer satisfaction while maximizing long‑term business potential
Solution Sales
- Develop value‑based commercial proposals combining technical and business benefits
- Understand customer applications and recommend the most suitable AC and DC charging solutions
- Coordinate with Product Management, Technical Sales, Service, and Project Management to deliver customer solutions
- Support tenders and large infrastructure projects from commercial qualification through award
Market Intelligence
- Monitor French market trends, competitor activities, customer investments, and regulatory developments
- Identify emerging opportunities in France and recommend market strategies
- Provide structured customer and market feedback to Product Management and Headquarters
Commercial Performance
- Achieve annual sales targets and profitability objectives
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM pipeline management
- Support payment collection and commercial risk management
- Ensure disciplined sales reporting and opportunity management
Company Representation
- Represent Autel during customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events
- Strengthen Autel's brand and reputation within the French market
- Act as a trusted ambassador for the company with customers and partners
Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 7–10+ years of successful B2B sales experience
- Proven track record developing business within infrastructure‑related industries
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience negotiating commercial contracts with strategic customers
- Experience within EV charging infrastructure strongly preferred
- Alternatively, experience in energy, electrical infrastructure, industrial automation, renewable energy, utility, transportation, or similar capital equipment industries
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong commercial and financial understanding
- Good technical understanding of electrical infrastructure and energy systems
- Ability to understand customer business cases and develop commercially attractive solutions
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and structured pipeline management
