Axis has something great to offer! We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our French sales team. This is a temporary role (CDD) for 6 months. The role is remote based in Nantes or Rennes (or close to those areas). Domestic travelling in the region and to the office in Paris is required.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer, your role contributes to the business growth by being responsible for all technical aspects with top system integrators, large end customers and consultants in close collaboration with the sales team for the Northwest and Southwest region in France. You will define the best solutions to increase the business on targeted partners and end customers, develop technical complex projects with different internal departments, support business growth in your territories, and deliver official Academy and tailored training within the territory.

  • Design the best solution for each project, by understanding the needs from the local end customers, A&E and System Integrators perspective.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor both internally and externally.
  • Influence large tenders and RFP/RFQ processes with the local market.
  • Develop and present Axis solutions with high technical standards.
  • Co‑define a strategy with the related Key Account Manager to better position Axis at all levels in the territory.
  • Maintain and develop contacts with technical key decision makers from large corporations (system integrators and end customers).
  • Keep current with local and global technology partners.
  • Understand the full solutions, including complementary technologies such as networking, analytics, software, hardware and services.
  • Assess competitive landscape for each solution and follow up each project with the technical customers.
  • Promote pilots and proof‑of‑concept implementations linked to projects and opportunities.

Qualifications

We are looking for a focused and self‑motivated team player with a technical background within IT and/or Physical Security. You will be able to hold inspiring presentations and demonstrations and build strategic and trustworthy relationships at all levels. Your business acumen and prioritisation skills are key.

  • Minimum of four years in a technical position in the IT or physical security market.
  • Degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role.
  • Deep experience within the B2B market.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure is a plus.
  • Native in French and professional level in English.
