Sales coordinator Hamburg
Overview
36-40 hours per week. Hamburg is the place where Bertus brings the German, Austrian and Swiss markets together. From our office in the heart of the city, a small, tight-knit team takes care of the retail accounts, the labels, the press, the campaigns and everything in between, establishing our role as one of the leading key Indie suppliers for CDs & LPs. What You Will Do
- Manage a key retail or wholesale account end-to-end: forecasts, listings, campaigns, marketing budgets, reviews.
- Coordinate the day-to-day sales activities of the Hamburg team and act as the connecting point between sales, marketing, label management and operations.
- Prepare reports, sales analyses and presentations for the General Manager GSA and for headquarters in Rotterdam.
- Step in for the General Manager when needed: handle calls, take decisions, keep things moving.
- Support and review communications towards retail, labels and press, in German and English.
- Keep the office, the systems and the rhythm of the team running. The small things that make the big things possible.
Who You Are
- You are a pragmatic doer with sharp commercial instincts and a strong eye for detail. You enjoy variety, you read a room, and you build long-term relationships rather than transactional ones. People at retail, at labels and inside the team trust what comes from your desk.
- A university degree (BA or MA), either business-oriented or culture-oriented. Mindset matters more than the field.
- 2+ years of experience in a comparable role: sales coordination, (junior) key account management, or a hybrid commercial and operational role.
- Background in music, entertainment or media. Adjacent worlds count too: book distribution, home entertainment, audiobooks, retail entertainment, ticketing.
- German native, English fluent (B2/C1). You present and report comfortably in both.
- Accurate with numbers, contracts and details. You catch the typo, the wrong total, the missing line.
- Comfortable with the unpredictable: you stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and do not get easily stressed by competing demands or unexpected challenges.
- Bonus, though not required: experience with German retail (Media Saturn, JPC, Amazon, Müller, Thalia), familiarity with VMI processes, or some PR exposure.
