Our client is looking for an Experienced Safety Engineer to support a major FEED project in the Energy Transition sector.
You will join a multidisciplinary HSE Design team and contribute to the delivery of Safety Engineering studies for a large-scale decarbonised ammonia and ammonium nitrate production facility.
Responsibilities
As an Experienced Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing Safety Engineering studies throughout the FEED phase.
- Identifying and assessing Major Accident Events.
- Developing prevention, mitigation and protection measures to ensure personnel, asset and environmental safety.
- Participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA and other safety reviews.
- Carrying out Hazardous Area Classification studies.
- Reviewing Plot Plans and 3D Models from a safety perspective.
- Identifying Safety Critical Elements (SCE).
- Preparing engineering deliverables and responding to client comments.
- Working closely with Process, Piping, Civil, Instrumentation and other engineering disciplines.
- Supporting technical optimisations and design improvements.
Required Profile
- Master's Degree in Engineering (Safety, Process or equivalent).
- 10+ years of experience in Safety Engineering.
- Strong experience on FEED and EPC projects .
- Solid background in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Energy Transition projects.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- HAZID
- HAZOP
- SIL
- LOPA
- Safety Critical Elements (SCE)
- Good understanding of international standards such as NFPA, API and IP .
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional English is mandatory.
- French is considered an asset.
