Robotics Hardware Engineer
- Seniority & profile :** From 5 years of professional experience in hardware engineering for mechatronic or robotic systems. A demonstrated ability to *move fluidly between electronics, mechanical design, and embedded firmware**
to make things work end-to-end. You don't wait for the \"right\" person to fix it — you jump in.
Solid fundamentals in *electronic design**
: schematic capture, PCB layout, power distribution, sensor interfacing. Comfortable debugging with an oscilloscope and a soldering iron.
Practical experience in *mechanical design & integration**
: CAD, tolerancing, DFM/DFA, prototyping. You understand what happens when your design meets reality.
Working knowledge of *embedded software**
: bare-metal or RTOS in C/C++ on STM32 or similar, communication buses (CAN, SPI, I2C, RS485, Ether
CAT), basic motor control.
Master/Engineering degree — generalist or multi-disciplinary profiles (mechatronics, robotics) are especially welcome.
No deep specialization in one single domain is required — what matters is your ability to- learn fast, adapt, and make the whole system work**
.
As a Robotics Hardware Engineer, you will work across the full physical stack of Aru :
**Design, prototype & iterate**
on electronics, wiring, sensor integrations and actuator drive systems.
**Solve mechanical integration puzzles**
— fitting everything into a tightly packaged quadruped, working hand-in-hand with the mechanical team.
**Bring up and debug embedded systems**
— firmware for motor controllers, sensor chains, safety systems and communication interfaces.
**Bridge the gap**
between hardware and software teams — ensuring control engineers hav
