Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation of technology roadmaps and share insights with manufacturing teams.
- Design and develop processes aligned with technical (MTBF, usability; simplicity) and economic (cost, efficiency, timing) performance objectives.
- Identify technical risks and propose innovative solutions.
- Validate technological choices, ensuring industrial constraints are integrated into process design (proof‑of‑concept).
- Define robotic architectures, layout, EOAT, and cycle‑time optimization.
- Deliver technical documentation, including plans, bill of materials, tolerance chains, risk analysis, repeatability calculations, summaries, simulations, and validation.
- Prepare and/or contribute to standard documentation (white book, IKnow).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (Lean line design rules).
- Guarantee process/project capitalization.
- Manage key partners in the domain and collaborate with purchasing departments for supplier selection.
- Lead robotic projects with equipment suppliers and integrators.
- Provide support to factories and Manufacturing Engineering teams for the deployment of standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and equipment for the application.
- Design hardware and software architectures for robotic cells (electrical, automation, pneumatic, and vision systems).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and norms.
- Travel globally as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- General or specialized engineering degree or equivalent (Bac +5).
- 5 to 10 years of experience in development, production, maintenance, and process engineering.
- General technical knowledge with in‑depth expertise in at least one discipline: robotics, mechatronics, or related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB).
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC, sensors, vision systems, and industrial networks.
- Familiarity with 3D and 2D CAD software (Catia V5, Solid
Works, Auto
CAD, Draft
Sight). - Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership ability and autonomy.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Creativity and technical curiosity.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of JIT processes is a plus.
- Valid driving licence (type B).
