RN PAIN MANAGEMENT

Critical Access Rural Health Facility located in Paris, IL, with 25 inpatient beds and multiple outpatient clinics.
Position Summary
The RN will participate in the care of patients undergoing pain management procedures. This may include sedation of the patients during the procedure or admission and discharge duties. This nurse may also have other duties as assigned in the Pain Management Clinic setting.
Essential Functions
- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Performs advanced nursing activities, which can include assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, placement of IVs.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Participates in initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists Clinic Manager and Pain Management provider in the development of departmental standing protocols and orders.
- Assesses patients in procedural area, both pre and post procedure, reviewing medication, allergies, medical history, and obtaining vital signs.
- Initiates IV therapy.
- Triage phone calls, complete prior authorizations, injection screening, and MRI screenings.
- Provides education to patients in the office and post-injection area.
- Orders, stocks, and maintains supplies for department.
- Assists injectionists with procedures (epidural, nerve block, joint injection, radiofrequency nerve ablation, etc).
Position Requirements
- Graduate from an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or diploma school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.
- BLS and ACLS required.
Position Information
Location: 721 E. Court Street, Paris, IL 61944
Hours: 7am-5:30pm, 4 10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday, with rotating day off each week
Pay Range
Pay ranges from $26.688/hour to $42.740/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience).
