Why this role is important to us

The role will report directly to the Senior Manager for Investment Compliance and Product Risk, Fund Risk and Operational Risk, depending on the particular focus of work allocated to the VIE. It contributes to the oversight of both the Investment Management business and the Management Company business and ensures that the funds comply with relevant regulations and client guidelines. Both businesses are growing and changing, providing opportunities for learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the overall Risk department, Investment teams, and other teams as required.

What you will be responsible for

  • Assist in daily investment compliance monitoring using proprietary system ALTO, ensuring pre‑ and post‑trade alerts are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and control all risk classifications: market, regulatory, liquidity, valuation, credit, counterparty, commercial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Monitor IMA, prospectus, regulatory, risk and internal limits on the portfolios managed in Dublin on both a pre‑ and post‑trade basis.
  • Assist in product launches, preparation of rule matrices and implementation of new funds where required.
  • Monitor requirements under the Investment Risk framework as required.
  • Liaise with the Investment teams to resolve breaches identified and to address any queries relating to daily monitoring.
  • Handle queries received via the team mailbox and ensure a timely and appropriate response.
  • Escalate breaches per procedures.
  • Prepare and participate in portfolio reviews with Investment Teams to assess and address investment risks on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare monthly reporting within deadlines (AUM / ESG / Performance / Client).
  • Oversee client funds delegated to other Investment Management companies.
  • Assist with RFPs.
  • Analyse and report on risk management trends and liaise with business units to implement corrective actions.
  • Help prepare documents for presentation at the Risk Management Committee and Board reporting, and other meetings as required.
  • Assist the Risk team on projects and initiatives where directed.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business or another relevant area, or equivalent post‑graduate qualification or demonstrated relevant work experience. Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent is required.
