Risk Based Inspection Engineer / Ingénieur RBI - Corrosion & Inspection

Job Description

The RBI Subcontractor delivers Risk Based Inspection studies, identifying deterioration mechanisms, defining corrosion loops, and preparing inspection plans and documentation.

• Prepare Corrosion Loop Reports based on equipment data and project documentation.
• Collect and structure technical information (Equipment Lists, Mechanical Datasheets, Line Lists, P&IDs, etc.) to build RBI software upload files.
• Coordinate with Process, HSE, and Operations & Maintenance to identify deterioration mechanisms, define corrosion loops, and establish inspection policies and actions.
• Perform RBI studies using the RBI software selected for the project (e.g., Meridium).
• Develop inspection plans and associated recommendations.
• Ensure high‑quality deliverables, with accurate data, justified assumptions, and clear documentation.
• Provide weekly progress reports to the RBI Lead.

Requirements

• MSc degree in Process Engineering, Materials/Metallurgy, or Corrosion Engineering.
• Strong familiarity with EPC documentation: PDS, MDS, GAD, P&IDs, Line Lists, piping isometrics.
• Solid engineering judgment in RBI methodology.
• Knowledge of material selection activities (MSD/MSR).
• Strong understanding of relevant codes & standards: API 580/581, inspection codes, materials & fabrication standards for static equipment and piping.
• Experience with RBI software tools (Meridium).
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RBI methodology.
