Riser Engineer

Join the riser engineering team of a major international EPCI contractor in the Paris area as a Riser Engineer. You will define riser system architecture, perform global dynamic analyses, and develop design basis, technical specifications and installation procedures, working autonomously on a project and interfacing with associated subsea disciplines.

What you will do

• Define riser system architecture
• Perform and verify global dynamic analyses under various loads and environmental conditions
• Draft design basis, equipment technical specifications and installation procedures, and support technical bid evaluation
• Interface with suppliers and procurement to evaluate proposals and support supplier selection through technical bid evaluation
• Ensure design compliance with recognised industry codes, standards and design guides (API, DnV, ISO), client specifications, scope of work and Saipem internal standards
• Monitor overall project planning and ensure supplier progress and compliance, in close interface with the Post Order function
• Maintain active follow-up of manufacturing and testing, including ad-hoc missions at supplier premises
• Liaise with associated subsea disciplines and understand project interfaces

What you bring

• Strong background in riser engineering (O&G), with experience across design, analysis and supplier follow-up
• Proficiency in OrcaFlex, Python and Shear7
• Working knowledge of API, DnV and ISO codes and standards
• Ability to work autonomously and interface across multiple disciplines
• Professional English, written and spoken
