Job Description

Location: Toulouse, France. The role is part of a multi‑functional team of 12 buyers with commercial and/or technical expertise, supporting various Airbus programmes (A300 to A350 & A220). The primary responsibility is to lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure in‑service retrofit campaigns and negotiate Retrofit Support Agreements (RSA) with suppliers during Calls for Tender.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure retrofit negotiations align with Program Support decisions.
  • Establish and update a retrofit negotiation action plan for each project (strategy, budget, target cost, lead time).
  • Lead commercial negotiations on retrofit scope and coordinate procurement with suppliers to secure contracts and signatures.
  • Define after‑market strategy for complex avionics projects with the programme support organisation.
  • Contribute to cost‑saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction and safety objectives.
  • Produce reporting and briefings for management decisions.
  • Place orders and administer related commercial contracts.
  • Monitor contract adjustments and manage recovery programmes during retrofit execution.
  • Negotiate RSA with bidders during Calls for Tender.

Qualifications

  • 5‑year degree in Engineering or Business school.
  • Experience in Engineering, Program Support, Procurement operations or Customer Support with efficient project management.
  • Awareness of airline contract requirements is a plus.
  • Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • High level of autonomy and rigor.
  • Customer‑ and goal‑oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Technical understanding and curiosity for aircraft systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Team spirit and collaboration.
  • English negotiation level required.
