General Manager - Luxury Dining Concept | South of France
A leading international hospitality group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of its luxury dining concepts in the South of France .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day venue operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and front-of-house teams, fostering a high-performance and service-driven culture.
- Take ownership of the venue’s commercial performance, including budgeting, cost control, revenue optimization, and P&L management.
- Ensure the highest standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and operational execution are consistently maintained.
- Work closely with the culinary leadership team to ensure a cohesive and elevated dining experience.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-calibre hospitality professionals.
- Monitor business performance through KPIs, financial reporting, guest feedback, and operational analysis.
- Implement strategies to improve revenue, profitability, team productivity, and guest satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with guests, VIPs, local partners, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with local health and safety, labour, licensing, and operational regulations.
- Maintain strong communication with regional and Head Office teams, providing regular operational and financial updates.
- Support seasonal planning, events, activations, and peak-period operations as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong background in high-end restaurants, lifestyle dining, or premium hospitality concepts .
- Previous experience managing a high-volume, fast-paced operation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, multicultural teams and consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing budgets, P&L performance, labour costs, cost control, forecasting, and operational KPIs .
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly guest-focused, with a strong understanding of luxury service standards.
- Calm, professional, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach in a demanding operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluent English is required; professional proficiency in French is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working in France or the European luxury hospitality market would be advantageous.
- Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in France.
Additional Information
- This is a fully on-site position based in the South of France .
- Candidates currently based in France or Europe who are able to relocate to the South of France will be considered.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and during peak seasonal periods is essential.
