Le Responsable Technique Validation & Vérification BCU organise l’intégration, la validation et la vérification d’un Bay Control Unit (BCU) utilisée dans les systèmes de contrôle des postes électriques. Il supervise la couverture du plan de test, la qualité de son exécution, pilote les stratégies de validation, dirige les enquêtes sur les anomalies et assure l’amélioration continue des pratiques de V&V, y compris l’automatisation des tests. Il assure la conformité avec les normes CEI et IEEE, gère les plateformes de tests fonctionnels et collabore avec des équipes transversales.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the R&D Department, you will be responsible for organizing the integration, validation, and verification of a computing unit designed for the control and command of electrical substations.
- Ensuring optimal coverage of established test plans and the quality of their execution
- Proactively contributing to the development of effective validation strategies, aligned with quality and timeline requirements
- Supporting the team in anomaly investigation by ensuring technical and logistical coordination
- Establishing, documenting, and maintaining best practices for Validation & Verification (V&V)
- Strategically planning and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives
- Rationalizing, standardizing, and promoting test automation methodologies within the c264 team, and potentially across other R&D teams within Grid Automation
- Actively participating in the review of product specifications related to functionalities
- Staying informed of developments in IEC and IEEE standards applicable to bay controllers, planning product compliance with these standards, and ensuring that products fully meet the requirements and specifications demanded by customers and projects
- Maintaining functional test platforms that are fully equipped and compliant with established processes and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements
- Being knowledgeable about issues within the BCU installed base, monitoring field issues, contributing to defect resolution and quality release planning, in collaboration with cross‑functional teams such as Service, Operations, Quality, and Project teams
Required Qualifications
- Holding an engineering degree or a Master’s degree, with at least 10 years of experience in the field of electrical substation control and command systems, or a similar domain
- Strong experience in functional testing of control and command unit equipment
- Solid experience in the configuration and testing of control/command equipment operating within a system
- Strong knowledge of electrotechnical functionalities of a system, such as Synchrocheck, AVR, Auto‑Recloser, and ANSI protection functions
- Good knowledge of different test types and methodologies
- Excellent collaboration skills with various stakeholders, an ability to influence decisions, and a capacity to adopt a strategic vision
Desired Characteristics
- Significant experience in RTE's ELECTRE GP electrotechnical functionalities
- Change and anomaly management, test sheet management, and test campaign tracking
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 Edition 2, and ideally of protocols IEC 60870‑5‑101, IEC 60870‑5‑104, Modbus, and/or DNP3
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- SAFe Agile methodology in a JIRA/Confluence environment
- Electrotechnical testing tools: OMICRON CMC, oscilloscope, multimeter
- Protocol testing tools: IED Scout, Triangle Protocol Test Harness, ASE, Wireshark
- Automated test development language: Python
- Version management tool: GitHub

Languages
