Overview
Position: Responsable Stratégie & Exécution Catégorielle – Sales GMS, PepsiCo France. Contract: CDD, 01 juillet 2026 à 30 janvier 2027. Location: France. The role focuses on driving category strategy and execution across Food & Beverage categories, guiding assortment, merchandising, visibility, in‑store execution, and shopper activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead category strategy and ensure optimal execution across all channels (GMS, AFH, convenience, etc.).
- Manage a cross‑functional team for category vision, planning, and portfolio strategy.
- Define end‑to‑end execution strategy: portfolio strategy, channel roles, assortment, innovation, launch plans, selling stories, PICOS, client and store execution.
- Build and animate the yearly category agenda, including category plans, selling stories, merchandising and visibility timelines.
- Manage and optimise portfolio and innovation: set assortment objectives, ensure AOP, recommend 360° launch plans for innovations.
- Drive merchandising strategy, set linear planogram targets and store layout vision.
- Coordinate transformation and on‑ground execution (PICOS), prioritise execution per category and brand, and support shopper/trade, marketing, and terrain teams.
- Analyse commercial execution KPIs, contribute to a 5‑year category vision, and propose acceleration initiatives.
- Communicate internally: produce selling stories, client plans; participate in key meetings (marketing, revenue management, terrain).
- Lead and develop the category team; pilot the roadmap.
- Budget responsibility: manage A&M and S&D shoppers budgets, liaise with finance and marketing on activation sales.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of significant experience in FMCG GMS and/or Horeca, ideally in Category Management roles.
- Commercial experience (negotiation, on‑ground experience) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GMS and Horeca channels, shopper insights, and retailer universe.
- Bachelor/Master (Bac +4/+5) in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Fluency in English required.
- Coaching and team management skills.
- Strategic thinking, commercial and business orientation, result focus.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to structure conclusions from diverse data.
- Leadership, interaction across functions, ability to challenge and recommend.
- Experience in complex project management, prioritisation, and roadmap execution.
- Curiosity and openness to external trends, competitive intelligence.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with GMS panels (Nielsen, Kantar).
