Responsible Production / Workshop Manager

Location: Ain (01), between Nantua / Oyonnax.

Company: A medium‑sized industrial company specialising in the fabrication of technical assemblies and custom equipment. The role is part of the Operations Directorate, responsible for a complete production perimeter and overseeing a team of 15 to 25 employees (mechanics, assembly).

Responsibilities

• Production Management – plan and organise production according to priorities and constraints; monitor performance indicators (quality, costs, deadlines); optimise utilisation of human and technical resources; ensure compliance with quality and safety standards; track production costs and assist budgeting.
• Continuous Improvement – identify improvement opportunities and lead related actions; work with methods and technical teams; analyse breakdowns and propose concrete solutions.
• Team Management – lead, coach and structure the team; allocate workloads, organise schedules; support team members in a high‑activity context; contribute to skill development and team cohesion.
• Coordination & Interface – collaborate with internal functions (methods, purchasing, operations); follow performance of suppliers and subcontractors on the scope.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of field managerial experience.
• Experience in a technical production environment (mechanics, metalworking, assembly) is highly desired.
• Proficiency with production issues: scheduling, quality, safety.
• Ability to manage an entire activity, including organisation, flow and costs.

Contract

Permanent (CDI).

Salary

• Annual gross: €50,000 – €58,000.
