Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Saint‑Genis‑Pouilly for the role of Responsible Fruits et Légumes (Fruit and Vegetable Department Manager). The role involves managing the fruits and vegetables section, including inventory control, quality assurance, restocking, and presentation of products. Responsibilities include advising customers, managing supplier relationships, and implementing seasonal promotional activities within the department. Ensuring freshness, compliance with food safety guidelines, and maintaining visual aesthetics are key components of this role. The manager will also oversee team coordination within the section.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including quality indicators, storage, and seasonal variations.
- Experience in inventory management, order optimization, and supplier relations specific to fresh produce.
- Team management skills with the ability to train, lead, and support employees in a high‑paced retail environment.
- Customer service skills, including the ability to provide expert guidance and build strong customer relationships.
- Attention to detail, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining visually appealing product displays.
- Organizational and planning skills to coordinate promotional activities and optimize department performance.
- Previous experience in retail or a similar role is highly desirable, particularly in the grocery or fresh produce sector.
