Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the software development team responsible for the Asset Performance Management product.
- Own delivery of software features, releases and maintenance for the product.
- Plan and coordinate development activities across distributed teams in collaboration with the APM Project Manager.
- Work closely with Product Management to translate product requirements into development plans and technical solutions.
- Ensure high software quality, maintainability, and reliability of the product.
- Guide technical decisions and support the team in software design and implementation.
- Collaborate with Software Architecture, QA & Testing, UX, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment with common practices and platform architecture.
- Ensure proper software development processes are followed, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and release processes.
- Manage technical risks, technical debt, and system improvements.
- Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues and customer problems when required.
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing software engineering team.
- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members.
- Foster collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to long‑term product and technical roadmap planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in software development, with experience in technical leadership or team leadership roles.
- Strong experience with backend/server software development using technologies such as Java, C#, or similar.
- Experience working with distributed systems, client‑server architectures, or large‑scale device management systems.
- Experience working with databases, APIs, and system integrations.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
- Experience leading distributed or international software development teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with Asset Performance Management (APM) systems, predictive analytics platforms, or condition‑based monitoring solutions for industrial assets.
- Proven experience with optimization algorithms, including maintenance optimization, risk‑based optimization, or fleet‑level resource optimization.
- Experience with Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies, failure mode analysis (FMEA), or reliability engineering principles applied in software systems.
- Hands‑on experience or strong technical understanding of AI/ML technologies, including machine learning model development, deployment, and integration into production software (e.g., predictive maintenance models, anomaly detection, remaining useful life estimation).
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross‑functional stakeholders (product management, architecture, operations) without direct authority, driving consensus on technical direction and priorities.
- Strong coordination skills with proven ability to orchestrate work across multiple teams, time zones, and organizational boundaries while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear messaging for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Track record of building trusted relationships with senior leadership and effectively advocating for team needs, resources, and strategic investments.

- Ability to navigate organizational complexity, manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders, and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Coaching and mentoring mindset with experience developing individuals’ communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities.
