The Plant Nutrition department plays a central role in the implementation of research and development projects at the Centre Mondial del’Innovation Roullier, by studying and proposing novel products for plant nutrition and soil health. Within this department, the Plant Nutrition and Abiotic Stress Unit supports designing solutions aimed at optimizing Nutrient Use Efficiency and stress tolerance and crop productivity. To strengthen our expertise, we are hiring a Researcher in Plant Science / Plant Abiotic Stress in St Malo .
About the job: Reporting to the Plant Nutrition and Abiotic Stress Unit Manager, you will take part in projects investigating the plant tolerance against abiotic stresses. Therefore, you should demonstrate knowledge of Plant Physiology and Abiotic Stress.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement key methods to evaluate plant growth and development under stressed conditions.
- Study the mechanisms involved in plant tolerance against abiotic stresses.
- Manage and analyse experimental data.
- Participate in writing reports, scientific publications, and research project proposals.
- Collaborate with academic, industrial, and institutional partners.
Profile
- Hold a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, Abiotic Stress, Environmental Science, Plant Nutrition, or related fields.
- Are knowledgeable about plant methods and analysis techniques (physico-chemical analyses, biochemistry, molecular biology, metabolomics, etc.).
- Have advanced skills in biostatistics and proficiency in the R programming language for data analysis.
- Show excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
- Are fluent in English.
- Demonstrate autonomy, scientific rigor, team spirit, and the ability to work on multidisciplinary projects.
