Research Engineer in Computer Vision / AI

Purpose
IDEMIA Public Security is recruiting outstanding researchers to enrich and strengthen its teams. The objective is to cover all aspects of scientific research, from data collection, modeling, implementation to the publication of articles or patents. The methods used are Bayesian methods, machine learning, deep learning (CNN, GAN...), and all methods used in computer vision for still images and optimized automated video analysis.
Key Missions
The mission will consist of:
- The study and development of new state‑of‑the‑art algorithms
- Optimization of the algorithms
- Performance measurement and analysis
- Technology watch and analysis of the state of the art of research
- Expertise to analyze problems encountered in the field, and win benchmarks
- Support to operational teams to define the best customized solutions for specific customers
- Support to integration in environments as diverse as professional servers in the cloud or on‑premises, embedded devices, or smartphones
Profile & Other Information
- Education: PhD or Engineering School.
- First significant experience in image processing, computer vision, deep learning.
- Strong background in mathematics, data analysis.
- Proficiency with Python. Experience with C/C++ will be a plus.
- Ability to handle large amounts of data and work in a research environment, i.e. in an unfamiliar field.
- Knowledge of biometrics will be a plus.
- Curious.
- Results and solution oriented.
- Clear and convincing communication.
- Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
The position is based in Osny 95 near Cergy Prefecture.
