The position

We are looking for a Reporting Analyst to join our Finance & Controlling team in Vienna.

The Reporting Analyst plays a key role in strengthening Boehringer Ingelheim’s data analytics and reporting capabilities within Finance & Controlling. This position focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. Working closely with regional and functional stakeholders, the role ensures high‑quality, standardised, and sustainable reporting solutions while embedding data analytics seamlessly into daily Finance & Controlling operations.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Collect and prioritise reporting requirements from Finance & Controlling and other functions.
• Create data models and reporting solutions using Boehringer Ingelheim’s enterprise tools and analytics environment.
• Coordinate regional data analytics governance processes in close alignment with the Finance & Controlling Leadership Team.
• Ensure standardised rollout, hyper‑care, operational run, and maintenance processes for reporting solution (incl. creation and maintenance of clear technical and user documentation).
• Apply and continuously improve established reporting standards, procedures, best practices and oversee the Power BI runs, maintenance, and further development within the Finance & Controlling area.

Requirements

• University degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Econometrics, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst in Finance or Controlling, ideally in complex international or regional environments.
• Strong expertise in business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics, with hands‑on experience designing advanced financial dashboards and analytical reports.
• Advanced Power BI proficiency (2+ years), including data modelling and development using DAX, M, SQL, and exposure to Python/LLMs, plus strong Excel skills.
• In‑depth understanding of Power BI architecture and security models, including access rights management, data architecture, and governance principles.
• Highly analytical and detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, automated reporting solutions, including experience with process automation tools such as Power Automate or UIPath; fluent English required, German is a plus.

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 64.170 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
