Manual Quality Assurance Engineer – SIMBA Team in France. Work fully remote, ensuring the reliability, functionality, and user experience of cutting‑edge AI voice technology used across global markets. Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to validate new features, identify defects, and maintain high quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. This role combines hands‑on testing with process‑improvement initiatives, offering exposure to fast‑paced Agile workflows and modern AI‑powered technologies.
Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and regression suites to ensure strong coverage across core functionalities and edge cases.
- Perform hands‑on manual testing across multiple browsers, devices, and user scenarios to validate new releases, product updates, and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify, reproduce, isolate, and document software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Maintain organized QA documentation, including test reports, release validation summaries, defect logs, and regression testing records.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to ensure QA involvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with product, engineering, and customer support teams to prioritize issues based on user impact and business needs.
- Conduct regression and release validation testing to ensure product stability, reliability, and readiness before deployment.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA workflows, testing efficiency, communication processes, and overall product quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in manual quality assurance testing, particularly focused on web‑based applications and user‑facing products.
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, exploratory testing, regression testing, defect reporting, and test case design.
- Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and support teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to isolate root causes and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting defects, test cases, and QA reports clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with project management and bug tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, or similar platforms.
- Experience using browser developer tools for debugging and issue investigation.
- Nice‑to‑have experience with accessibility testing, WCAG guidelines, API validation tools such as Postman, or exposure to test automation frameworks.
- Interest or familiarity with AI technologies, voice products, text‑to‑speech platforms, or audio‑based applications is considered a strong advantage.
