DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Health Editor to join our editorial team, who will primarily focus on editing articles related to health, wellness, and medicine. The Health Editor will work closely with our Managing Editor and writers to ensure that the content is of high quality and meets our editorial standards, for both online and print publication. The ideal candidate should have excellent editing and fact-checking skills, as well as a deep understanding of health and medical topics.Key Responsibilities

Edit the article’s structure and logical flow to improve readability and engagement, ensuring that it is compelling and of high quality. When necessary, edit to ensure a compelling angle.
- Write an accurate, attention-grabbing headline.
- Ensure all claims in the article are supported by adequate evidence while maintaining a rational and balanced tone.
- Use accessible language and reduce redundancy.
- Work closely with writers to ensure that the content meets The Epoch Times’s editorial standards.
- Analyze metrics related to health content, use data-driven insights, and stay up-to-date with health trends to improve future content.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, health, sciences, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience as an editor with a focus on health, wellness, or science content.
- Strong editing, medical fact-checking, and proofreading skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health and medical topics, including the latest research and trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with flexible availability.

Pay Range

The annual base pay range for this role is between $50,000 and $72,500. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range according to the selected candidate’s experience, location, technical skills, and other factors.
