Hands‑On Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager you’ll lead a small team (2 engineers) building data‑intensive systems that drive key product capabilities. You’ll guide technical direction, support engineers’ growth, stay technically engaged through design, code reviews, and contributions, and collaborate closely with Product and other engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and support a small team of engineers.
• Drive technical direction and delivery of projects that process large‑scale datasets.
• Foster strong engineering practices around system reliability, data correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship in architecture, system design, and data modeling.
• Stay technically engaged through code reviews and design discussions.
• Collaborate with Product to deliver product outcomes.
• Improve engineering processes and team practices.
• Help evolve data and platform architecture.

Your Profile

• Strong experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience leading engineers or technical initiatives.
• Senior, Staff, or Tech Lead engineers with technical leadership experience encouraged.
• Comfortable staying technically involved while leading.
• Experience with data platforms, distributed systems, or large‑scale pipelines.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and operational reliability.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Dagster or similar is a strong plus.
• Ability to partner with Product Manager to shape roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and based in a European time zone (UTC+0 to UTC+2).
