Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to maximize new business acquisition, referral opportunities, and deepen customer relationships for the Priority Clients segment, meeting specified service standards.

  • Maximize new business/acquisition/referral opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships to the specified service standards for the Priority Clients segment.

Implementation and Oversight of Responsibilities

  • Conduct a professional, consultative financial analysis and profiling session with customers to meet their financial needs/objectives.
  • Foster and deepen customer relationships by providing regular market information updates and trend analysis on local and international financial products.
  • In consultation with the PB team manager/branch manager/PTL, draw up monthly plans for achieving/exceeding sales targets to meet new business and customer acquisition goals.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition.
  • Source and call on individual prospects.
  • Provide quality, efficient after-sales services.
  • Manage anti-attrition and retention of clients.
  • Organise and conduct sales presentations to groups, clubs, associations, companies and other organisations.
  • Solicit referrals from other parts of SCB e.g., RMs from C&I, staff, etc.
  • Comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures and report any suspicious activity to the Transaction Monitoring Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities.

  • Responsibilities relating to the direction, planning, structure, frameworks (e.g. processes and policies) and oversight.

Regulatory and Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Product managers, STMs and others.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Client Acquisition Experience.
  • Account Management (of HNW Individuals) Experience.
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in consumer banking products (i.e., Treasury, Equities, Funds, Insurance, etc.).
  • 4+ years of experience in banking.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Banking.

Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Hold RNF & CFMAS Certificates.
