Manager of Actuarial Centre of Competence – Reinsurance Pricing
Location: Munich, Paris or Prague.
Develops and continuously enhances reinsurance pricing methodologies (methods, models, parameters), embracing a forward‑looking approach and effective anticipation of relevant risk trends.
Oversees the team in performing technical pricing and stochastic modelling of complex reinsurance contracts, in close cooperation with underwriting units.
Analyses underwriting portfolio performance and generates insights on costing accuracy and required measures.
Acts as product owner of the underwriting pricing landscape, in collaboration with external specialised technology providers.
Executes on the “UW transformation” initiative: leverages a dedicated task force to design the future underwriting pricing process and develop VIG Re pricing tools’ landscape.

- Proactive identification of risk trends.

Job Description: Actuarial Pricing Manager, Prague
Responsible for the analysis, pricing and evaluation of profitable treaty reinsurance business.
Focus on casualty underwriting with the opportunity to expand knowledge to property natural catastrophe or vice versa.
Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with business partners.
Understand client needs and develop solutions together with the team.
Analysis of market trends, market cycles, support in portfolio analyses, and identification of re‑underwriting needs and emerging opportunities.
Support in cross‑functional initiatives.
- 10 years in equivalent position with knowledge and experience in re/insurance business in Spain and Portugal and proven positive track record.
- Excellent level in Spanish and English (written and spoken), Portuguese language being a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, pragmatic and solution oriented.
- Ability to originate new business, relying on very good negotiation skills.
- Self‑starter with the drive to take initiative and manage targets in a goal‑oriented manner; demonstrates ability for teamwork, efficiency and performance under pressure.
- Able to travel abroad throughout the year.
- Has 10 years plus experience in motor car insurance; knows the motor car insurance handling processes from A‑Z.
Translates this experience into efficient claims processes to support digitisation.
