Reinsurance Accountant
I am partnering with a global financial services organisation to support their search for a Reinsurance Accountant to join their Paris office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing reinsurance accounting and reporting activities within a dynamic, globally connected business.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll take ownership of accounting and reporting activities for assigned reinsurance accounts and markets. You’ll ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial data while supporting internal stakeholders and external clients.
You’ll also contribute to strengthening controls and improving processes as part of ongoing digital transformation initiatives .
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver day-to-day underwriting and accounting operational support accurately and on time
- Liaise with clients, providing financial information and insights
- Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management reports
- Monitor reinsurance receivables, payables and related bank accounts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance and Claims teams
- Take ownership of credit control processes and reporting
- Support reporting improvements, audits and process enhancements
- Perform testing to validate financial systems and data integrity
- Contribute to key transformation and operational projects
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and internal requirements
About the Team
You’ll join a collaborative, international team responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality operational processes for the reinsurance business.
Working closely with underwriting and colleagues across locations such as London and Cologne , you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects in a fast-evolving environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in P&C insurance, ideally in Reinsurance Accounting or Controlling
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Strong knowledge of Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance Accounting
- Solid understanding of technical booking and reporting processes
- Excellent analytical, organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English required)
