Overview

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse, Patient Care Supervisor. Flexi/PRN, rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations during the shift, ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and staff efficiency.
• Serve as the primary liaison between departments, providing leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Coordinate patient flow, manage staffing levels, respond to emergencies, and address operational issues that arise during the shift.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
• MSN – preferred

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing license – required
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• PALS within 90 days of hire

Experience

• 2 years of acute care RN experience – required
• 1 year of nursing leadership experience – required
• Effective oral and written communication required
