Result of Service

The consultancy will deliver high-quality, regionally adapted outputs that enable Article 5 countries to institutionalize coordination between National Ozone Units (NOUs) and National Energy Efficiency Policymakers (NEEPs), apply standardized knowledge products and tools, and operationalize them through capacity-building workshops. By the end of the assignment, the Regional Technical Expert will have:

• Developed an extensive evaluation of knowledge gaps together with capacity needs and best practices, and national coordination mechanisms for the region.
• The draft knowledge products and tools of UNEP have been reviewed, enhanced and regionalized with validated appendices, case studies, and lessons learned from the region.
• The outcome will result in enhanced institutional collaboration and operational tools and strengthened national stakeholders who will enable Article 5 countries to fulfil their Kigali Amendment commitments and enhance cooling sector energy efficiency.
