Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will focus on the adoption of AtriCure’s minimally invasive and hybrid technologies and therapies, including minimally invasive cardiac surgical ablation, LAA exclusion technologies, and hybrid endocardial and epicardial cardiac ablation procedures. This role is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing direct business sales in the cardiothoracic operating room, EP Cath Lab, Interventional Cath Lab, and related hospital departments. The manager works with sales teams and individuals within the designated geography to develop, train, and support physicians and their staff on procedures and utilization of AtriCure technologies.
Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and execute a strategic sales plan for the designated territory to achieve assigned targets
- Schedule and meet with top hospital administration to present tools and initiatives highlighting AtriCure products and clinical approaches
- Promote, establish, and support Centers of Excellence for appropriate hospital facilities
- Continuously identify new customers, contacts, and opportunities
- Work closely with the Area Sales Director to implement and execute strategies to achieve corporate sales goals
- Collaborate with the marketing team to share industry news and trends and receive feedback
- Attend industry trade shows and events as needed
- Manage assigned territory and track customer activity
- Understand and satisfy requirements for obtaining access to a hospital, healthcare system, or other client site
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Specific knowledge and selling experience related to endocardial ablation systems and/or occluder systems highly preferred
- Successful track record with sales quota achievement
- Strong clinical and technical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship‑building ability
- Confident, goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, and a team player
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to travel 80% of working time
- Experience selling in the medical device industry, particularly in the EP market, is preferred
