Regional Sales Manager - France
You’ll set up and lead our Paris office from day one – getting it running, building a team, and shaping a culture that feels like us.
You’ll play a hands‑on role in shaping our France offering from the ground up; building itinerary content and curating local experiences for our guests.
This is an in‑office role. Close collaboration with your team is a big part of how we work.
France is new territory for Nordic Visitor. Your knowledge of the destination – its regions, suppliers, and hidden gems – will feed directly into the product we build for travellers coming in from outside Europe.
At its core, this is a people and operations role. You’ll manage and grow your team, drive sales, keep the office running smoothly, and work closely with peer managers across our five European offices.
The first year involves a lot of groundwork: building supplier relationships from scratch and establishing credibility before volume follows. We’re looking for a patient builder, not just a quick seller.
Before the Paris office opens, you’ll spend a few months at our headquarters in Reykjavík – learning the Nordic Visitor way from the inside. Hands‑on, immersive, and a pretty good way to start a new job. We’re aiming for fall 2026.
What we’re looking for
- Proven track record in tourism sales, with previous management experience
- Experience building supplier or partner relationships, ideally in a new market
- Deep knowledge of France as a destination – its regions, culture, and what today’s travellers are looking for
- Strong English and French (spoken and written); other languages are a bonus
- A natural leader who sets clear expectations, listens well, and builds a culture people want to be part of
- Calm when things get complicated, and energised by a broad role rather than daunted by one
What you’ll be responsible for
Your team
Recruiting, onboarding, and developing the Paris team. Coaching for growth, not just task completion.
Sales and performance
Setting and hitting targets. Keeping the team focused and aligned with company strategy.
The Paris office
Getting the office up and running – and keeping it that way. Managing invoices, local payroll coordination, employment contracts, and making sure our French operations meet local employment law and GDPR requirements.
Building the local partnerships that make our France product worth selling. You’ll be the face of Nordic Visitor to French partners.
Cross‑company collaboration
Working closely with teams in Iceland, the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, and Italy. One company. Paris is part of the family from day one.
What success looks like
A well‑settled team, a growing sales pipeline, and a Paris office that genuinely reflects who we are: trustworthy, warm, and expert. A true friend in the destination.
All applicants will be considered equally and fairly, regardless of gender, identity or background. Everyone eligible is encouraged to apply.
