Our client, a European niche market leader in solar are seeking to hire a Country Lead for France.

After developing and launching an industry-first safety product, the organisation is looking to continue its expansion into France and is already present across Spain, DACH, UK and the rest of Europe.

This role would suit a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager based in France that has previous experience within the solar industry and operating across France. The Sales Manager will develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build strong relationships with customers and partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across residential and commercial solar sectors
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including installers, distributors, wholesalers, trade associations, and insurance providers
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure sales strategies align with company objectives
  • Provide market insights and feedback to inform product development and marketing campaigns
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to support strategic planning
  • Deliver quarterly sales reports, updates, and performance analysis

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit clients and partners across France.
  • Make outbound calls to existing and potential customers
  • Proactively seek out opportunities in new sectors
  • Engage with prospects and customers via social media platforms
  • Work closely with current and prospective wholesalers to expand sales channels
  • Collaborate with internal sales team members to share insights and strategies

What we’re Looking For

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven sales professional
  • Strong background in closing partnership deals across the solar industry
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident in making outbound sales calls and presenting to stakeholders
  • Presentable, personable, and reliable
  • Knowledge of the solar energy market is preferred
  • Experience working with distributors and wholesalers across multiple countries is advantageous
  • Fluent in both France and English (spoken and written)
  • Must be based in France
  • 3+ years of work experience with Solar PV
