JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

Accountable for leading the in Country/Region Facilities & Operations function across a multi-site corporate real estate portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, resilient, and cost-effective operations that enable business performance and an excellent workplace experience. The role sets and delivers the regional facilities strategy; governs service delivery to agreed KPIs and SLAs; leads budgets, forecasting, and cost optimisation; oversees capital planning and project delivery; and partners with senior stakeholders, landlords and service providers to maximise asset and service value in line with client objectives and the Master Service Agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Set and deliver the country/region Facilities & Operations strategy aligned to client business priorities, portfolio plans and agreed service scope.
  • Provide senior leadership and governance for day-to-day operations across sites, ensuring consistent standards, performance management, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
  • Own regional supplier strategy, sourcing support, contract governance, and performance reviews; drive value for money, risk management, and measurable service outcomes.
  • Act as the senior operational point of contact for regional stakeholders; build trusted relationships, set expectations, and manage escalations to resolution.
  • Lead business continuity planning and operational resilience across the region, including incident response readiness, critical supplier assurance, and communication protocols.
  • Own financial management for the regional function including OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Oversee workplace strategy delivery including space planning, occupancy planning, moves/changes, utilisation insights, and standards for workplace services.
  • Ensure governance and compliance across sites (EHS, fire/life safety, security, statutory inspections, audits, landlord obligations, and risk assessments) with clear evidence trails.
  • Lead and govern capital projects and lifecycle programmes (e.g., MEP renewals, refurbishments, site openings/closures), ensuring scope control, schedule, quality, change management and approvals.
  • Sponsor and embed EHS and emergency preparedness programmes, ensuring training, drills, corrective actions, and alignment with corporate and local regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Real Estate/Leasing and business leaders to ensure operational requirements, budgets and capital plans support lease events, growth, consolidation, and landlord negotiations.
  • Define regional standards for technical due diligence and ‘fit for purpose’ reviews of major repairs/replacements (HVAC, fire systems, BMS, power), challenging scope, cost, and risk.
  • Lead regional sustainability and ESG initiatives (energy, waste, water, certifications where applicable), tracking performance and driving practical improvements with stakeholders.
  • Establish portfolio reporting, dashboards, and governance cadence; analyse KPIs, customer feedback and audit outcomes to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the regional Facilities & Operations team; set objectives, build capability, and foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
  • Represent Facilities & Operations in regional leadership forums and support broader account/client initiatives as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in corporate facilities management and operations, including leadership of multi-site portfolios and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Fluency in English is required for regional and global stakeholder engagement.
  • French language proficiency
  • Experience managing local teams, vendors, and regulatory requirements effectively.
  • Solid understanding of local regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable operating in a lean environment with both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities
  • Proven track record in financial management (budgeting, forecasting, cost optimisation) and supplier/contract governance with measurable performance outcomes.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level and manage escalations effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership of EHS, compliance and risk management programmes (fire/life safety, statutory inspections, audits) across multiple sites.
  • Experience leading capital projects and lifecycle programmes, including business case development, governance, delivery assurance and change management.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and governance capability, including KPI design, performance reporting, and continuous improvement disciplines.
  • People leadership experience, including leading managers, building teams, developing capability, and creating a strong service and safety culture.
