Raw Material Supplier Quality Engineer

Jefferson Wells is looking for a Raw Material Supplier Quality Engineer for an important client brand.

This role is responsible for overseeing the quality of raw materials from suppliers, managing supplier quality risks, and ensuring the qualification and ongoing performance of the supplier base.

This position will be responsible for conducting supplier audits, validating materials during the pre-production phase, and managing critical supplier issues.

Activities:

Oversee the quality performance of raw material suppliers.

Implement and manage supplier quality risk assessment and mitigation plans.

Lead supplier qualification processes and conduct regular audits.

Manage pre-series validation of raw materials, ensuring they meet specifications.

Approve batch releases of raw materials for production.

Lead the supplier escalation process for critical quality issues.

Deploy and manage supplier development programs to improve supplier capabilities.

Skills:

Solid knowledge of raw material specifications and quality control methods.

Experience in supplier quality management (audits and qualifications).

Expertise in supplier quality risk management techniques.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001).
