Quantum Software Developer — Hybrid GPU/Quantum Algorithms for High-Fidelity CFD
Full-time position in a deep-tech R&D team developing next-generation high-fidelity flow simulation software for aerospace, propulsion, energy and weather forecasting, with a focus on hybrid GPU/quantum algorithms and future quantum computing architectures.
About the Company
PrediQTTechnologies develops next-generation high-fidelity, scale-resolved CFDsoftware for industrial applications. Our ambition is to change thesimulation paradigm by combining advanced numerical methods, GPU-native performance and, in the longer term, quantum computing capabilities. Our SuRF solver and GenAI-based engineering platform are designed to deliver a new level of accuracy, reliability and engineering productivity for industrial flow simulation.
Industrial demand is shifting toward simulations that can resolve complex unsteady flow physics with higher fidelity, while remainingusable in real engineering workflows. This evolution, together withmajor advances in numerical methods, GPU computing, quantum computing and GenAI, led to the creation of PrediQT Technologies.
Joina creative and ambitious deep-tech team working at the frontier ofnumerical simulation, GPU computing, GenAI and quantum computing. Wevalue scientific excellence, engineering rigor, intellectual honesty and teamwork. PrediQTis headquartered in Brussels, with quantum R&D activities in theParis/Saclay ecosystem. The role offers the opportunity to help build anew generation of industrial simulation software from an early stage.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced software engineer or computer scientist to join the numerical technology group developing PrediQT’s next-generation high-fidelity flow simulation software. You will integrate quantum algorithms within the SuRF solver, run them first on hybrid GPU/quantum emulators and contribute to advanced research projects aimed at running CFD solver components on quantum computers.
Responsibilities
Integrate quantum algorithms within PrediQT’s CFD solver SuRF and port selected solver components to hybrid GPU/quantum emulator environments.
Develop creative quantum algorithms and innovative approaches for differential equations, algebraic systems and high-fidelity flow simulation workflows.
Test and validate new developments on verification cases, documented experiments and industrially relevant aerospace, propulsion, energy and weather-forecasting applications.
Contribute to scientific publications, technical documentation and demonstrations of PrediQT’s quantum-CFD technology.
Participate in leading conferences in CFD, numerical methods, quantum computing, aerospace, propulsion, energy and weather forecasting.
Qualifications
Theideal candidate combines a strong background in quantum computing orcomputer science with a genuine interest in high-fidelity CFD, numericalmethodsand high-performance scientific software. We are looking for someonewho can move from research ideas to robust implementation while maintaining clarity, scientific rigor and engineering discipline.
A Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, quantum physics, applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
Required Skills
Deep knowledge of CFD numerical methods, with particular expertise in the resolution of non-linear algebraic systems arising from high-fidelity flow solvers.
Strong knowledge of differential equations, numerical linear algebra, iterative solvers and robust numerical methods relevant to CFD solver development.
Hands-on programming experience in C, C++, CUDA and Python, with an interest in high-performance scientific computing.
Good understanding of GPU architecture, parallel implementation and the practical constraints of hybrid GPU/quantum workflows.
Solid knowledge of quantum computing is required; experience or strong interest in probabilistic computing would be considered a valuable asset.
Soft Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity and scientific rigor.
Creative, communicative and collaborative mindset in a high-level R&D environment.
Ability to document complex work clearly and contribute to scientific discussions.
Builder mindset, autonomy and team spirit in an early-stage deep-tech company.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience implementing quantum algorithms for scientific computing or numerical simulation.
Experience with CFD numerical methods, finite-volume, Discontinuous Galerkin or other high-order approaches.
Experience with CUDA, Kokkos, MPI or other HPC parallelization frameworks.
Pay range and compensation package
We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary, stock options and social benefits. This is an opportunity to join PrediQTat an early stage and contribute directly to the development of a newgeneration of high-fidelity industrial simulation software.
