Quantum Hardware Engineer

Seeking a Quantum Hardware Engineer to join a pioneering team, focused on the development of next-generation quantum hardware systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics, working closely with engineers and scientists to design, fabricate, and characterize experimental quantum devices that will drive the future of quantum technologies.

The role

• You will be responsible for hands‑on development and optimization of quantum hardware components, performing experiments with atom trapping, optical tweezers, single‑atom imaging, and cold atom systems.
• You will work on the preparation and manipulation of atomic arrays, coherent atomic state preparation in optical traps, and troubleshooting experimental setups to improve system performance.

The requirements

• PhD in quantum physics, quantum optics, or a related field with a focus on AMO physics
• Strong theoretical foundation in quantum mechanics, atomic physics, and quantum optics
• Hands‑on experience in cold atom laboratory experiments, including atom trapping, optical tweezers, single‑atom imaging, and atomic array manipulation
• Proficiency in programming for data analysis, simulation, and automation (Python, MATLAB, or C++)
